The Commissioner for Tourism and Economy at the Aqaba Special Economic Zone Authority, Sharhabeel Madi, said Saturday that the authority has prepared an integrated vaccination plan in cooperation with the Aqaba Governorate Health Directorate with the aim of making Aqaba free of coronavirus.

The plan includes launching a vaccination campaign through 14 vaccination centers distributed in all areas of the governorate targeting citizens and workers in various sectors.

Madi said in a press statement that the plan has been sent to the relevant authorities in the government for approval, and it is expected that Aqaba will be provided with vaccines within the next two weeks.

He explained that if the plan is implemented and the vaccination rate is high, Aqaba will be declared a corona-free city.
